The collective chapters of The Ireland Fund Young Leaders from around the world will come together to host one event across 19 cities on 22 September 2018, in seven different countries. Starting in Brisbane, Australia, the Young Leaders and friends will run 5kms in their respective city before passing the ‘virtual baton’ off to the next city. The Global 5k will conclude when the last Young Leader crosses the finish line in San Francisco! We invite everyone to join us to run, walk or push the pram with dog in tow around the course!

The funds raised from Young Leader events are vital to support the Australian Young Leader's chosen charities, which are this year: Suas, who partner with designated disadvantaged (DEIS) schools across Ireland to deliver literacy support to 8 to 14 year olds who are struggling with reading and writing; and the GO Foundation who offer scholarships to Indigenous Australian students in public schools.
